Group Lessons

"These occasions (group lessons) are extremely effective, especially for small children, because they can play and learn with advanced students. As Group Lessons are an integral part of the Suzuki Method, Suzuki teachers in our area have combined efforts. VSSA Teacher members are expected to have their private students register and pay for Group Lessons. VSSA offers flexible payment terms (see below).

Those who serve on the board are given a tuition break for the first child and a $50 discount for all other children, in return for the many hours they serve. Please contact a board member if you are interested in this option. Fees for third and fourth students in a family are also discounted in the amount of $50.

Group Lesson attendance scholarships may be awarded again this year, if funds permit. These scholarships are for students who attend all group classes during the year. Please make sure to sign in at the information table at every Group Lesson as the roll MUST be signed in order to qualify for a scholarship. These scholarships, in an amount to be determined at the end of the year, will be available to qualified students attending a VSSA approved, string-related activity. Kris Ehlis must be notified of how these scholarships are to be used by July 1, 2007. 

Group Lesson Location and Times

Group lessons will be held at the Center for Educational Excellence at 1700 E. Elliot Rd. Ste 9, Tempe 85284.  CEE is in the strip mall on the north-west corner of McClintock and Elliot. (click here for directions)

Schedule:

• 1st class: 9:00-9:40
• Recital/Meeting: 9:45-10:10
• 2^nd class: 10:15-10:45

 Group Lesson Fee Structure

• The group lesson fee is 1-payment of $155 or 2-payments of $77.50 each.
• Those who pre-registered will pay 1-payment of $100 or 2-payments of $50.  

If you choose the 2-payment option, both payments will be collected up front.  Make a current check for the 1^st payment, and another check for the 2^nd payment dated November 1^st.  The 2^nd payment will not be cashed until after November 1^st.
